Expectations and Goals:

The motto of the Baker Middle School Band Department is, "Building a Foundation of Excellence." The success of the band department depends heavily on 100% participation from the teacher, students, and parents. At BMS, students are expected to remain in their seats at all times, treat others and their property with respect, and follow all school-wide rules and procedures. It is the goal of the band to facilitate a safe, respectful, and productive musical learning environment for all students.

Daily Responsibilities:

You must have the following equipment each day:

• Your instrument
• Mouthpiece, reeds (at least 3), or drumsticks
• #2 Pencils
• Folders with method book and music

Band Fees:

Marching/Concert Band Student

$30

The band fee covers the cost of supplies, instrument maintenance, and the band performance gear.

Non-Marching/Concert Band Student

$10

This fee covers the cost of supplies and instrument maintenance for non-performing band students.
